At K9-Kamp, every Kamper is treated with the utmost care and attention. Your dog will enjoy 5+ potty breaks daily and 3+ hours of outdoor playtime (weather permitting) to keep them active and happy. Meals are served according to your specifications, ensuring your pup’s dietary needs are met, and each Kamper receives a complimentary S’more treat every day! Fresh, comfortable bedding is also provided to make their stay as cozy as possible.

K9-Kamper Checklist
Below is a downloadable checklist of paperwork, items, and instructions to streamline your check-in. We realize this may seem like a lot, but we require this information for good reason – to ensure our ability to take care of your dog(s) to the highest standards of care.

- New Client Application: Due on the first time you board your pet only.
- Returning Client Individual Pet Form: To be updated each time your pet visits and submitted online through our website’s “Forms” page between 48-24 hours prior to reservation. It contains specific information that may have changed from a previous visit.
- Proof of Rabies, DHPP, & Bordatella Vaccinations: All dog(s) are required to be up to date every time they board. Please, provide an updated vaccine certificate when the previous one expires. If you plan to have your dog vaccinated for Bordatella, we suggest doing it 14 days before your boarding date. Please have your vet email vaccination records to us at tuxedopaws34@gmail.com before check-in.
- Medication, Treatment, and Supplements: This important information must be updated with each visit. Please, leave pills in original prescription bottle and one needle per injection is required. Do NOT put medications or supplements in the food.
- Food: Label food container or bag with dog’s name and specific instructions. One bag per meal is highly recommended, but we will accept a sealed container with measuring device. If we provide your dog(s) with food, it will be $2 per meal, per dog.
- Monthly Flea/Tick Treatment and Heartworm Prevention
(Recommended): If parasites are found on your dog(s), you will be contacted to pick them up immediately. - Food/Water Dishes (Optional): We have food/water dishes and sanitize them daily, but if you would like to bring your pet dishes, please no glass or ceramic.
- Other Things To Bring (Optional): List specific items and descriptions on “Individual Dog Sheet.” We have the staff, time, and space here to take care of all your dog’s belongings. WRITE YOUR DOG’S NAME ON EVERYTHING! Note: Toys, stuffing, bedding, pig’s ears, rawhide chews, or hooves risk danger of choking or intestinal blockage. Pack at your own risk!

What are your rates and payment policies?
All rates and services are subject to availability and may change at any time. You can request an estimate before booking. Payment is due at the time of service; I do not offer payment plans. I accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card, and checks. Please note that a 3% swipe fee will be added to all card transactions. If a check does not clear the bank, a $25 return fee will apply. Thank you for your understanding and your business!
How old does my puppy have to be to be boarded?
Your puppy must be at least 16 weeks of age and fully vaccinated with rabies, distemper, and Bordetella before boarding.
Is this a licensed facility?
Yes, K9-Kamp is a PACFA-licensed facility in the State of Colorado, ensuring the highest standards of care for your pets. My license is displayed on-site for reference.
What do I need to bring for my dog’s stay?
Please reference the section on our Boarding Page for specifics but bringing your dog’s food, any medications they require, and a favorite toy or blanket to help them feel comfortable during their stay are the most important items.
Are there requirements for vaccinations?
Yes, all dogs must be current on their rabies, distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations. Proof of vaccinations is required at check-in to ensure the safety of all K9-Kampers.
What is your policy on parasites (fleas/ticks)?
At Tuxedo Paws, the health and safety of all dogs and staff are top priorities. If fleas are found on your dog(s), they will need to be picked up immediately and will not be able to return until they have been treated by a veterinarian. After documentation of proper treatment and a flea-free clearance from the vet, we will be able to take further booking requests. Ticks will be removed for an additional charge. Please understand that parasites pose a serious health hazard to all dogs and staff in the facility, and this policy ensures a safe environment for everyone.
Will my dog interact with other dogs during boarding?
Social interaction depends on your dog’s temperament and comfort level. I carefully monitor all interactions to ensure every dog has a safe and enjoyable stay.
Can I add grooming services during my dog’s boarding stay?
Yes! If time allows, you can add services like a Take-Home Bath or Nail Trim. Bath pricing starts at $25 and nail trims are $10. Let me know in advance if you’d like to include any add-ons.
What happens if my dog gets dirty during their stay?
While I do my best to keep K9-Kampers clean during their adventures, I can’t guarantee they’ll stay spotless. Adding a Take-Home Bath ensures your pup will go home fresh and clean.
What if my dog has special needs or medications?
I’m experienced in caring for dogs with special needs and administering medications. Please provide clear instructions in your Initial K9 Kamper Packet or if a frequent visitor with new medications, through the “Returning Kamper” form on my website’s Forms page. We can go over these instructions during drop-off and I’ll ensure your dog receives the care they require.
